Thanks to everyone who helped put the show together, you did such a fantastic job. The Hertfordshire Stand looked brilliant. It was great to see lots of people there enjoying the show, and it was a great experience to be part of New Blood 09.
Carlos Garde-Martin is an illustrator who has worked for a diverse range of clients, some of these include Digital Artist magazine, Spindle Magazine, Storm CP, Madame Geisha bar, SAS Recruitment, and Craft Guerilla. You may also see his work appearing in exhibitions up and down the country. Aside from illustrating Carlos is a contributor for Creative Boom, and he teaches the art of illustration at the Friends Centre in Brighton. You can also purchase prints, and badges by him from Castor and Pollux, Hand-made, and the Soupa Emporium.

Carlos grew up in a typical new town in the south of England. Uninspired by his surroundings he turned to creating his own reality. Infusing his tremendous knack for drawing with many influences such as graffiti, Spanish comics, toys, 80's cartoons, and early video games. His highly original way of working is referred to as 'Pop Surreal'.
