Logo for Heron Films
I recently created this nifty little logo for friend and film maker Alec Heron. He wanted a fun and friendly logo that steered away from the cliched imagery... et Voila!

Madame Geisha Exhibition
For the Madame Geisha Spindle exhibition I decided to choose Life and Death as a theme to explore. The series of four each explore different metaphors and the juxtaposition of ideas.

new twitter background
To coincide with the new twitter I thought about time I created a new background. Using some doodles from my sketch that would otherwise be confined to those pages, I set about creating a repeating tiled image. Here's the tile, but head on over to my twitter page to see it in full repeating-tiled action http://twitter.com/#!/carlos_g_m

Yarn Fest 2011 Collaboration
I was asked as a member of the Soupa Creative Network to take part in this years Yarn Fest Illustrationnarium event at the Book Club, Shoreditch. I illustrated the wonderful words of storyteller Rachel Rose Reid whilst she recited her version of the ancient Greek myth of Persephone. I created 45 stills on acetate, some of which were then worked over as she was narrating. Here's a few pics of the event taken by the lovely folk at Yarn.

Gatekeeper co-lab
At the recent Inkygoodness show in Bristol I hooked up with an old school friend of mine Billy Scree AKA The Gatekeeper, and we decided that a collaboration was on the cards. He sent me some of his music which has inspired my art, which will in turn inspire his music. Music-imitates-art-imitates-music... or something like that. I'll be making a time lapse vid of me drawing which in turn he will write the score for. Here's an initial sketch of what came to mind when listening to his choons. To check his discography click here!
